II. Cách dùng dispense with sth/sb
1. (dispense with someone/something) bỏ qua, không cần đến, làm thành không cần thiết
=to no longer use someone or something because you no longer want or need them
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- dispense with someone’s services (=stop employing them): không thuê nữa

- We have reluctantly decided to dispense with Porter’s services after a series of poor results.
2. Mang nghĩa"miễn trừ, tha cho, loại bỏ (vì không cần thiết)"
=to get rid of or stop using something or someone that you do not need

- dispense with the formalities (=to not do things usually done in a social situation in order to do something more important immediately)
