1. Dùng "seek" như nội động từ
=to try to do something

2. Dùng "seek" như ngoại động từ
2.1. Mang nghĩa "tìm kiếm; cố tìm cho được"
=to ask people to vote for something / to ask for something from a law court / to ask for something, or to try to get something

- seek re-election
- seek approval
- seek compensation/damages/redress
- seek an injunction
- seek advice/help
- seek refuge/asylum
- seek permission/approval

- The Mayor will not seek re-election.
- a referendum seeking public approval for major constitutional change
- The boy’s parents are seeking damages from the health authority.
- Colbak sought an injunction to force Bell to change the ads.
- Seek medical advice if symptoms last more than a week.

2.2. Mang nghĩa "mưu cầu, theo đuổi, cố gắng đạt tới (một nơi, điểm)"
=to try to find something such as an answer or a reason / to try to find something or someone that you need in your life

- I think he was seeking some meaning in his life.
- We do not always find what we seek.
- To be eligible, you must show that you are actively seeking employment.
- Many single people are seeking that special someone.
