- People in the UK are spending more than ever on health and fitness.
- Rural life has changed more in the last 40 years than at any other time.
- I loved you more than anything else in the world.
II. Cách dùng
1. Mang nghĩa "hơn là, rất" = very, extremely
=If something is more than a particular thing, it has greater value or importance than this thing

- Please call me anytime. I'm more than happy to help (out) in any way I can.
- I am more than happy to help you, but I'd appreciate being asked politely.
- You are more than welcome to stay for dinner, but we aren't having anything special.
- He's more than a coach, he's a friend.
2. Dùng trước số lượng (chỉ mức độ nhiều hơn)

- The Whitewater Committee interviewed more than forty witnesses.
Các cụm với more than... chỉ mức độ nhiều hơn
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- not much more than...: không còn nhiều hơn
- no more than...: không nhiều hơn
- more than once (=several times): hơn một lần
- more than double/triple etc: hơn gấp 2, hơn gấp 3 lần
- not much more than...:
- IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: There’s not much more than ten minutes left.
- no more than...:
- IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: He stopped no more than six feet away from the cliff edge.
- more than once (=several times):
- IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: I’ve warned him more than once not to interfere.
- more than double/triple etc (=become over twice, three times etc as large):

- During the past five years, the number of traffic accidents has more than doubled.
- As long as the construction of the new factory is completed on time, we predict that production will have more than doubled by the beginning of next year
