=in the past but not now/used when something happened or was true in the past but is not true now
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- No longer là cụm từ (phrase)
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- That student is no longer a naive child (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: chàng sinh viên ấy không còn là một thằng bé ngây thơ nữa)
- You can also say that something is not the case any longer.
- Food shortages are no longer a problem.
- She could no longer afford to keep him at school.
- I noticed that he wasn't sitting by the door any longer.
- He no longer plays in an orchestra.
- This building is no longer used.
- She doesn't work here any longer.
