I. Dùng "still"như adj
1. Mang nghĩa"đứng yên; phẳng lặng; tĩnh mịch"
=not moving/quiet and calm, with nothing happening

1. Mang nghĩa"vẫn còn, vẫn có thể"
=used for saying that a situation continues to exist up to and including a particular time, especially when this seems surprising/used for emphasizing that a particular situation has not completely ended or changed

- We were still cleaning the house when the guests started to arrive.
- Her hair was still damp from her walk in the rain.
- The car’s doors were locked, but the motor was still running.
- Is Terry still in college?
- If we have to, we can still request assistance from other authorities.
2. Mang nghĩa"mặc dù vậy; thậm chí như vậy; ấy thế mà"
=used for saying that something remains true despite what you have just said or done/used for emphasizing that although something is big, good, bad etc, something else is even bigger, better, worse etc

III. Dùng "still"như verb
Mang nghĩa"làm cho yên lòng, làm cho êm, làm cho dịu"
=to become calm and quiet, or to make someone or something calm and quiet/to make something stop moving or become more calm
