II. Cách dùng từ"where"
1. Giới thiệu chung

Dùng như 1 trạng từ để hỏi (hỏi giản tiếp hoặc trực tiếp)

Where are you going?
I wonder where she lives.
Where will it all end?

Dùng như 1 trạng từ quan hệ

Stratford is where Shakespeare was born.
Dùng như 1 liên từ (as a conjunction)

2. Cách dùng
2.1. Mang nghĩa"đâu, ở đâu, ở nơi nào"
=in or to what place

- where...from

- I wonder where Jack’s gone.
- Do you know where the road leads to?

2.2. Mang nghĩa"tại, ở trong hoặc tới nơi nào"
=used for referring to a particular place that someone or something is in or that they go to

- We were led to the dining room, where lunch was being served.
- Put the picture where I can see it.
- The house where I was born (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: căn nhà nơi (mà) tôi sinh ra)
- This cupboard is where she keeps all her sewing things.
- I was a teacher in the college where Khalil was studying.
- Where the temple once stood there is now a multi-storey car park.
