1. Mang nghĩa"ngăn chặn cái gì/ngăn cho ai làm gì hoặc ngăn cho cái gì xảy ra"
=to prevent someone from doing something, or to prevent something from happening/to prevent a payment from being made

- stop someone (from) doing something
- there’s nothing to stop you

2. Mang nghĩa"ngừng, nghỉ, thôi (không làm nữa)"
=to no longer do something/if something stops, it does not continue
