II. Cách dùng từ"incline"
1. Dùng "incline" như động từ
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:

1.1. Mang nghĩa"khiến cho có khuynh hướng, khiến cho có chiều hướng"
=to make someone likely to behave in a particular way or to have a particular opinion or attitude/If you incline to think or act in a particular way, or if something inclines you to it, you are likely to think or act in that way.

- Với nghĩa này, incline vừa là ngoại động từ, vừa là nội động từ
- incline to
- incline to do something
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- this result will incline them to try again (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: kết quả đó khiến cho họ có ý muốn thử lại một lần nữa)
- to be inclined to believe that (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: ... có ý tin là...)

1.2. Mang nghĩa"cúi xuống"
=to move part of your body downwards, especially your head/If you incline your head, you bend your neck so that your head is leaning forward.

- He listens, and sometimes he inclines his head sympathetically.
- Jack inclined his head very slightly.
2. Dùng "incline" như danh từ đếm được
Mang nghĩa"chỗ dốc, con đường dốc, mặt nghiêng"
=An incline is land that slopes at an angle.

- He came to a halt at the edge of a steep incline.
