(New York Times), đây là cách rất tốt để em có thể bổ sung từ vựng cũng như cấu trúc nhé. Hôm nay, IELTS TUTOR hướng dẫn em 1 cấu trúc rất hay dùng trong tiếng anh đó là CẤU TRÚC OUT OF + NOUN
Đã bao giờ em đọc được câu như câu sau đây, mà không tài nào hiểu nổi OUT OF ... nghĩa là gì ta, ví dụ:
- I took the job out of necessity because we had no money left.
- You might like to come and see what we're doing out of interest (= because I think you might be interested).
OUT OF + noun = nêu lí do vì sao ai đó lại làm việc gì (used to show the reason why someone does something)
Xét ví dụ:
- We didn't publish the details, out of consideration for the victim's family. (không đăng chi tiết VÌ LO NGẠI cho gia đình nạn nhân)
- She decided to call her ex-boyfriend out of curiosity. (VÌ TÒ MÒ)
- He only went to see her out of duty.
- Just out of interest, how old is your wife?
- She finished with him and, out of revenge, he told her husband about their affair.
