1. Limitation chỉ có thể là noun
1.1. Limitation (đếm được) mang nghĩa sự giới hạn
(the act of controlling and especially reducing something)
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- the limitation of nuclear weapons
- IELTS TUTOR giải thích: ở đây nghĩa là có sự giới hạn về vũ khí
- The major limitation of early record players was the short playing time of the records
- They favor anything that involves limitation of government control.
- Our course registration system placed limitations on how many students at one time could register for courses.
1.2. Limitations (luôn ở số nhiều): nhược điểm, thiếu sót = weaknesses
(If someone or something has limitations, that person or thing is not as good as he, she, or it could be)

- Living in an apartment is fine, but it does have its limitations - for example, you don't have your own garden.
- Despite her limitations as an actress, she was a great entertainer
2. Limit vừa là noun, vừa là verb
2.1. Limit (danh từ đếm được) giới hạn, ranh giới
(the greatest amount, number, or level of something that is either possible or allowed)

- Is there a limit on the amount of money you can claim?
- I think we ought to put a strict limit on the amount of time we can spend on the project
there is no limit to his impudence = sự hỗn xược của nó thật không còn giới hạn nào
speed limit = tốc độ tối đa quy định cho xe cộ
2.2. limit (ngoại động từ): giới hạn = restrict
